About Irelin Luo
Originally from China and now based in Los Angeles, Irelin Luo is a composer creating original music for film, television, games, animation, and visual media. Her music is rooted in emotional storytelling, cinematic atmosphere, and a deep interest in how sound can shape the audience’s connection to a story.
With an undergraduate background in psychology at UCLA, Irelin brings a thoughtful understanding of emotion, perception, memory, motivation, and human behavior into her approach to visual storytelling. This perspective helps her look beyond the surface of a scene and explore the inner world of a character, the hidden tension beneath an image, and the emotional journey an audience is meant to experience.
Through Lyxcean Music, Irelin provides original scoring, theme writing, orchestration, MIDI mockup production, arranging, and music production support for creative projects. For her, music is a storytelling language: one that can hold emotion, memory, atmosphere, movement, and identity.
My Work Experience
In 2023, Irelin won the 1st Prize at the Berlin International Film Scoring Competition. She later expanded her training through Berklee Online’s Professional Film Scoring Certificate program, continuing to develop her skills in film scoring, orchestration, and music production for visual media.
In addition to her creative training, Irelin also has experience in accounting, finance, and business. She minored in accounting at UCLA, passed the CPA exam, and worked as an auditor at Baker Tilly. This background has shaped her sense of structure, organization, communication, budgeting, and long-term project planning, allowing her to approach each collaboration with both artistic sensitivity and professional reliability.
